With countryside accommodations just outside Verona as your hub for 4 nights, enjoy two days dedicated to the countryside, and one day to Verona, its history, and flavors. These three easy routes take you off the beaten path, away from car traffic, to explore three renowned wines: Valpolicella (including its famous Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG) and Bardolino, along with the stunning landscapes of Valpolicella and Lake Garda. The wineries are handpicked for the quality of their wines, their scenic locations, and bike-friendly access.

Day 1: Arrive in Verona

Welcome in Verona! Meet at the Itinera Bike & Travel shop for a bike fitting and briefing. From there enjoy a transfer to your accommodations in the green countryside just outside of Verona city center.

Over a glass of wine, we’ll take the time to explain how the app works, and to go over the program of the tour. You’ll be staying in Valpolicella area, in a rural mansion among vineyards -- a perfect location for a tour dedicated to wine!

Day 2: Ride through Valpolicella Classica

Explore the heart of Valpolicella wine country, right outside the hotel’s front door! Ride along country roads through vineyards, passing by ancient farmhouses and elegant Venetian villas, some of which are now prestigious wineries. Visiting one of these estates offers a unique blend of wine and culture. Discover the old village of San Giorgio, perched in a scenic spot, before arriving at a historic winery for a tasting before returning back to your hotel.

Day 3: Lake Garda and Bardolino wine

Bike across large fields of peach and kiwi trees, with a gentle climb to the hills where you'll enjoy beautiful views over Valpolicella and the mountains. After the ascent is a breezy ride down to the shores of Lake Garda to discover the villages of Bardolino and Lazise.

As Italy's largest lake offers not only nice docks and small bustling villages, but also silent inland roads. You'll explore the countryside, where delicious EVO oil comes from and reach the nicest panoramic spots! Enjoy a wine tasting in Bardolino at one of our favorite locations, with a superb view of the lake. After some down time, you'll ride ride back to hotel.

Day 4: Verona's hidden corners and elegant cuisine

Today’s tour takes you through the hills around Verona and into the heart of the city. After exploring the outskirts, it’s time to dive into downtown. Don’t expect a big city—Verona is perfect for a leisurely walk and has plenty of fascinating stories to tell. The ride is short: from the hotel to our shop in Verona. Once there, you’ll leave the bikes behind and enjoy a private food tour. First, we’ll take the funicular for a stunning view of the city center, then stroll around, stopping for tortellini, wine and tapas, and a refreshing gelato. After some free time, we’ll bring you back to the countryside hotel.
