I have been to Italy several times before and enjoyed all my visits. But this time, after having cycled Puglia with Puglia Cycle Tours, I fell in love with Italy. I did an 8 day bike tour "Heart of Puglia." Our group was so fortunate to have an enthusiastic, fun-loving and knowledgeable guide-Christina. She made sure we went to the best restaurants, bars, gelato and coffee shops! The biking was really lovely. Such a varied terrain of olive groves, seaside, country and urban. A bit of everything! And in addition to our talented bike leader, Christina, we had the equally attentive and caring, Stefano, our bike support person. We felt very safe and very cared for. Christina and Stefano worked hard every day to make sure that our biking experience was memorable. It was!!! I have already recommended Puglia Cycle Tours to friends and would like to go back soon and do the Salento bike tour! Incredibly attentive service and attention to detail. A wonderful active vacation!!

We had an outstanding experience riding the 12 day self-guided tour from Matera to Lecce in October 2023. Everything from the initial contacts with Puglia Cycle Tours to the end of our ride was excellent. We have done many self-guided bike tours in Europe, and the cost value for the overall experience and customer service on this trip was by far the best we’ve ever had. Note that we bring our own tandem bike with us, so I can’t address the condition of the bikes they provide. The routes were well chosen to highlight the scenery while minimizing riding on busy roads - sometimes taking us in loops within towns just to see the beautiful villages. All of our accommodations were fun, comfortable, clean and unique (not the standard, ordinary rooms or locations you might typically have). Route maps on the supplied phone and app made it easy to follow (we also had the gpx files which we downloaded to our own GPS device). The support we received from everyone (thank you Valentina, Chiara, Christina, Antonio and everyone else) was fast, responsive and clear. The recommendations for sites to see (such as Castellana Caves) were all worthwhile as well. We cannot recommend Puglia Cycle Tours more highly!

An amazing cycle trip with Puglia Cycle Tours! We did the 8 day Alberobello to Lecce late September/ early October. Very well organized from the beginning communications to the end of riding! The cycling tracks were so good - and routed on the provided GPS. Very little vehicle traffic and endless photo shoot opportunities with such amazing scenery! Unique accommodations that were top notch - and that provided a great breakfast to fuel the day’s riding. Excellent equipment - we rented road bikes and appreciated the shock absorbers on the seat post and drop bars. Great tires too - no flats! Super friendly staff!
