  • Day 1: Arrive in Subiaco

    Arrive to Subiaco, located about 43 miles west of central Rome. Upon arrival to your accommodations in Subiaco, your bikes will be delivered by a MVTours representative for a bike fitting and briefing.

  • Day 2: Benedictine Monasteries of Santa Scolastica and Sacro Speco

    Start from the ruins of the villa of emperor Nero and climb up to the first two Benedictine monasteries: Santa Scolastica and Sacro Speco. Continue alongside the River Aniene and reach the highest point of the ride Altopiani di Arcinazzo, which sits at nearly 3,330 feet. Arrive at the medieval village of Vico nel Lazio.

Its role in World War II, particularly during the Battle of Monte Cassino, also resonates with many due to the sacrifices made by Allied forces.
