ABSTRACT

We’ve designed this short bike tour – 3 full days of cycling and 2 half days – for those who want to balance their vacation, not spend it entirely in the saddle. Each day offers the option of easier, shorter rides as well as more challenging routes. Whether crowned by timeless villages, blanketed in vineyards and olive groves, or dotted with wildflowers, the hills of Tuscany have one thing in common: they’re perfect for exploring on two wheels. Pedal through scenic hill towns, glide across wide valleys, and follow winding country roads lined with cypress trees and peaceful woodlands. Off the bike, you’ll experience unforgettable Renaissance art and architecture, tour wineries and cellars in the heart of Brunello wine country, savor meals made from the finest local ingredients, and unwind in charming Tuscan retreats.
Cicloposse Bike Tour was founded in 1994 in the heart of Tuscany by a passionate cycling couple. Based in the charming hill town of Pienza, our dream has always been to share the beauty of this corner of Tuscany…….

DAILY PROGRAM

  • Day 1 : Welcome to Pienza

Pienza, the "perfect town," is a stunning example of Renaissance-era town planning. If you have even a slight appreciation for beautiful architecture, strolling its cobblestone streets is a true delight. Gift hunters will also find plenty to explore. Pienza is also a gastronomic paradise, offering a wealth of local flavors.

A Cicloposse representative will meet you for a bike fitting and briefing, followed by a warm-up loop ride to San Quirico to test your bike and equipment. You’ll stop in the village to visit the Horti Leonini Garden, the town's top attraction.

Your charming hotel, Il Chiostro, is housed in a 15th-century convent, nestled in a quiet, secluded location in the heart of Pienza. Rebuilt between 1459 and 1462, it’s a rare masterpiece, conceived by Pope Pius II.
