  • Day 1: Arrive in Cannigione

    Arrival at Olbia airport and transfer to Cannigione-Arzachena community on your own (30 km) to your first accommodation. Meet a Bike Tour Sardinia representative for a bike fitting and briefing.

    Cannigione is a well-known seaside resort town located on the north eastern tip of Sardinia, in the Gulf of Arzachena. It’s in a very strategic position as it allows easy access to all the tourist spots and to the extraordinary beaches of the entire Costa Smeralda. Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo are respectively only 18 and 30 km away. Arzachena close to the sea and is made up of a series of pastel-colored buildings creating a perfect holiday atmosphere.

  • Day 2: Porto Cervo or Porto Rotondo loop

    Today you will ride first towards Arzachena and then San Pantaleo, a little village famous for the resident artists. Perched on a hill, here too you can admire the breathtaking landscape of the Costa Smeralda.

    If you have enough energy and you want to extend your ride it’s possible to visit Porto Rotondo, another pearl in the Mediterranean Sea settled in Sardinia. During this ride, you also have the possibility to Visit Porto Cervo, the undisputed kingdom of luxury holidays: its symbol is a small and charming village by the sea, an architectural gem set in an area of natural beauty. Another highlight of today is to visit the Nuraghe la Prisgiona, next to Arzachena. Return to Cannigione.

  • Day 3: La Maddalena and the Northern Coast

    Today you’ll ride by the stunning coastal views along the winding roads. The crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea will be your constant companion, offering a refreshing sight and a gentle breeze. As you approach Palau, the landscape opens up to reveal panoramic views of the La Maddalena Archipelago.

    The turquoise waters and granite cliffs of these islands create a truly unforgettable sight. In Palau, you must take the ferryboat for a short transfer (20 min) to reach La Maddalena, one of the most beautiful minor islands of the Mediterranean Sea. It’s in a very strategic position as it allows easy access to all the tourist spots and to the extraordinary beaches of the entire Costa Smeralda.

  • Day 4: La Maddalena & its Archipelago

    The Archipelago of La Maddalena National Park was constituted in 1996 for the protection of its fauna and flora. Leaving La Maddalena and passing through the breakwater of Passo della Moneta that joins the minor islands, you can reach the Island of Caprera, an entirely protected area and, therefore, still wild. Its coast is protected by woods and its jagged outline hides wonderful little coves, alternating with cliffs overlooking the sea. A country road leads through the whole pine forest and takes you to the centre of the island. From there, you can admire the whole coast of nearby Corsica.

  • Day 5: Santa Teresa di Gallura and Bocche di Bonifacio

    Leaving La Maddalena, we start venturing into wild Sardinia, discovering some little villages of the inland and the Gallura cork forests. As you pedal away from the harbor of Palau, you'll be greeted by breathtaking views of the La Maddalena Archipelago. The crystal-clear waters and the salty sea breeze will invigorate your senses as you follow the coastal road. The granite rocks, the dense Mediterranean vegetation, and the stunning coastline create a truly unforgettable landscape. As you approach Santa Teresa, you'll be greeted by the sight of colorful houses perched on the cliffs overlooking the sea. At your arrival in the village, it is possible to see the Corsica on the other side of the canal called “Bocche di Bonifacio”.
