ABSTRACT

A journey through the heart of Rome means crossing hundreds, if not, millennia of history and culture. Pedaling at the speed of two wheels, means you’ll cover more ground in this city packed with an endless array of cultural treasures. On the first day visit the historic center, passing by the key monuments and principal piazzas, with a break for lunch in the quintessential Roman neighborhood of Trastevere. The second day takes into more natural settings with stops at Villa Borghese and a ride out of the city center along the ancient Via Appia Antica to the Aqueducts Park. This self-guided tour is perfect for travellers that are short on time in Rome and want to see the highlights from the seat of a bike rather in the crowds of pedestrians. It’s is also the perfect add on for any of Oliven’s other multi-day tours departing from Rome. For groups of 3 or more, consider adding on a bike guide to enhance the experience.
Oliven Italia is a family-run company born from the collaboration with the Norwegian Tour Operator Oliven Reiser. A company with an important background in the cycle tourism sector in Italy…
