  • Day 1: Arrive in Rome

    Arrive in Roma at your leisure, recommendations provided to explore the city on your own.

    • Accomodation: HTL S.Giovanni (or similar)

  • Day 2: Roma - Formello - Campagnano

    Start the morning off with a bike delivery, fitting and briefing Oliven's local representative.
    Leave Rome crossing the bicycle route that runs alongside the Tiber river and continue on into the Roman countryside. End the day in the quaint town of Campagnano with a traditional meal at your hotel.

  • Day 3: Campagnano - Calcata - Sutri

    On this day you'll each the village of Calcata, famous for its idylic position perched on a hillside of tuff stone. From there it's on to the Monte Gelato waterfalls where we recommend a refreshment stop and nature break to enjoy the rejuvenating cascading waters. Your day in the hills ends concludes in Sutri, an important archaeological site and lovely village on the ancient pilgrimage route of the Via Francigena.

  • Day 4: Sutri - Vejano - Lake Vico

    Leaving Sutri pedal along roads lined with hazelnut trees, typical of this area, until the village of Vejano where we recommend a stop. Continuing through the hills you'll reach Lake Vico, the highest Italian volcanic lake above sea level, sitting at 1640 feet elevation. This makes for a popular bathing destination for the residents of central Italy in search of a refreshing escape.

  • Day 5: Lake Vico - Soriano nel Cimino - Viterbo

    In the morning cross the fascinating Monte Fogliano beech forest which is home to ancient trees typical of this area.
    From there, it's a delightful descent toward the village of Soriano del Cimino, where the Orsini family castle stands prominently. The day concludes in the splendid city of Viterbo, known as the city of the Popes. Here you'll have plenty opportunities for explore it's many treasures: from medieval churches to Renaissance palaces, archaeological areas and spas; and of course plenty of expectional tradtional cuisine.

  • Day 6: Viterbo - Marta - Capodimonte - Bolsena

    Depart from Viterbo and head towards the second lake of this tour, Lake Bolsena. Due to the impressive size of this lake you will spend most of the day circling it's shorelines entering from the south and passing through the hidden gem village of Marta until we reach the town of Bolsena. Here we find ourselves at the crossroads of three regions: Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany.

  • Day 7: Bolsena - Civita di Bagnoregio - Orvieto

    This day starts with a climb over the hills of Lake Bolsena, reaching arguably the most evocative loction of the entire journey, Civita Di Bagnoregio. This village suspended in time is nicknamed "the dying city" because it is destined to collapse due to landslides in the surrounding land. From there it's on to Orvieto, one of the most enchanting cities in Umbria region with over three thousand years of history that never ceases to be discovered. Both of these locations today are notable UNESCO Word Heritage sites.

  • Day 8: End tour in Ovieto

    Your journey concludes today in Orvieto with the option to extend a few days or return back to Rome by train. With frequent train service it's a convenient hour and a half trip back to Rome.
