FunActive Tours is an Italian tour operator based in Northern Italy and specialized in individual bike and hiking tours across Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, and Germany. Our goal is to provide an unforgettable active holiday experience, free from stress, whether you’re traveling solo or in a group. Each tour booking includes hotel reservations, meticulously planned routes, luggage transfer services, a roadbook, and access to our dedicated app. Additionally, we offer rental bike and e-bike services for added convenience.

At the heart of FunActive Tours is our founder and CEO, Freddy Mair, a former mountain biking athlete born and raised in the stunning Italian Dolomites. Since establishing the company in 2002, Freddy and our multilingual team of experts have been dedicated to delivering the highest standard of active holidays.

We had a wonderful hiking trip. The luggage transport and organization worked really well. Since the tours can be selected according to different levels, everyone could decide what they wanted to do based on their level. It is recommended to book half board additionally. The food was excellent.

We did the Alpe-Adria cycle tour at the end of August. The organization went smoothly, the hotels were well chosen - including special gems such as "al Teatro" in Udine. I would particularly like to mention that funactive tours supported us quickly when we were unable to continue due to a storm and needed help - thank you very much for that!

I organised a 14 day 525km customised self-guided tour via Funactive in 2018 for a private cycling trip that included parts of the Alpe Adria, Drau Cycleway and the Ciclabile delle Dolomiti. I sent the itinerary to several tour companies that supported customised tours and ultimately Funactive was the best price & offering. I provided the itinerary and dates and Funactive looked after the logistics involving bike rental, luggage transfers, hotel bookings and they arranged 2 van transfers that enabled us to connect the various routes. From the start Funactive’s response and support was great. The bikes were all in great condition and performed well over our 14 day trip. Over 10 days of cycling we had 1 puncture and 1 bike needed some adjustment for a slipping gear, but we were in Dobbiaco by then and Funactive promptly sorted it out. Our group of 8 was really happy with the hotels that Funactive had selected and as tour planner, I was very appreciative of the service from FunActive. I would have no hesitation in using them again and for some on our trip, this was the best trip they had ever done. Special thanks to Angelika Stuppner who handled all the planning and made the extra effort to visit us in our Dobbiaco hotel as we passed by.
